Hi all,
I am a grade 1 parent at Waldorf and wanted to spread the word that I will be continuing to lead an 8 week mindfulness based cognitive therapy program at Moksha yoga starting October 3rd, 2015. This is the second year of offering this service and my training is as a Registered Occupational Therapist in mental health for the past 18 years. If you know of anyone who may be interested in this please spread the word and I will offer a free mindfulness CD for those that register from your referral.
MBCT is has been tested in research and proven effective for people with depression, anxiety, experiences of burn out, stress reduction as well as a wide range of other challenges. Mindfulness is incredibly helpful with becoming more present in our lives, getting more satisfaction out of our relationships and much more!!
Due to the nature of the program, I would not be able to work with parents or families that I have a personal relationship with, as this would be a conflict of interest with my college, however you may know of people that are looking for this support and I would be happy to take referrals.
You can find out more details from the Moksha yoga website in Guelph and I have attached below information about the course. Please contact me if you know of anyone who is interested. Warmly Lisa
